—News Just In From the Whizz Sales Department—
Actually, ‘news just in’ is that I overheard Whizz Product Manager Natalie say that we sold twice the usual number of maths tutoring subscriptions yesterday. Conversations with a couple of parents confirmed the fact:
Snow is good for business!

Those of our users not based in the UK may be baffled by the national obsession with changeable weather conditions, but those within this sceptr’d isle cannot have avoided our literal and figurative snow coverage which has slowed or paralysed much of the country and caused the closure, yesterday and today, of thousands of schools.
Many parents have been wondering how to educate, entertain, or just distract young children otherwise ecstatic about the snowfall. Some seem to be turning to Maths-Whizz to do all of the above on days like today. We can only hope this continues!
But we would encourage our newest subscribers to remember – Maths-Whizz isn’t just for snow days, it’s for every day, and if Whizzers use our maths tutoring service for 90 minutes a week they’ll make 2 years’ of maths age progress in 12 months.
Snow or no, that’s worth signing up to…

We never stop at Maths-Whizz.

We’ve just added a fabulous new feature – Maths Challenges – to our burgeoning range of tools proven to boost kids’ maths abilities.
With Challenge, students can use their maths skills to take on all-comers from across the globe. We have thousands of Maths-Whizz students in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Australasia.
Until yesterday, Maths-Whizzers had to share maths skills and a lesson history with one of their limited buddy list. Now the Maths-Whizz system automatically locates students with similar skills profiles to be challenged on completed lessons.

If you’re a parent of a Maths-Whizzer, our latest feature will be perfect for helping you motivate your student, encourage some healthy competition, and boost their confidence in maths. Parents or teachers won’t need to worry about confidentiality, Whizzers cannot post comments to other challengers.
One thing to remember – with new Challenge we now only award credits for improving lesson scores or times in Replay. If you’re already scoring 100% with a fast time, it’s time to try another one of our 1200 animated maths lessons.
Login now to our top-flight online maths tutor to try out Challenge!
