Maths-Whizz - big in Dubai
Earlier this month, Whizz Education began a partnership with the Middle East’s largest learning solutions provider, Universal Knowledge Solutions (UKS), that will aim get our Maths-Whizz Online Tutoring service into hundreds of schools across the region.
As UKS say in their press release of 8th October, Maths-Whizz Online Tutoring is:
“…a solution that does not only answer the needs of the students in terms of ease of use, simplicity of presentation and clarity in explanation, but also the needs of parents and educators in being able to track students’ performance, identify gaps and measure improvement.”
We can’t put it any better than that!
Fadi Abdul Khalek, UKS CEO, gave us that ringing endorsement, echoed by Whizz CEO, Richard Marett, who said that UKS and Whizz were “companies which share a common vision.”
UKS are taking a fairly big step with our Maths-Whizz Online Tutoring, a new service aimed at fee-paying prep schools, which offers them the online tutor already used by thousands of children at home, but under the aegis of the school.
Three prestigious South-East prep schools have already signed up to Maths-Whizz Online Tutoring: The Mead School, Tunbridge Wells; The Hampshire School, London; and Sherfield School, Hook. The Mead School has already been using Maths-Whizz in this way for a year. It’s testament to the effect of Maths-Whizz that the Independent Schools Inspectorate mentioned the school’s use of our maths software and online services in its glowing 2007 report. There’ll be more on that in a later post.
With this success in hand, we’re going to develop the Maths-Whizz Online Tutoring service over the coming year, adding more functions for teachers and pupils alike. Now, with the involvement of UKS, we’ll be able to get schools a little further afield than Tunbridge Wells using our award-winning maths exercises. Watch this space.
