Dictionary
Dividend A number which is to be divided by another number. Dividend divided by the divisor = the quotient.
Divisible One integer is divisible by another non-zero integer if the quotient is an integer with remainder of zero.
Division An operation on two numbers to determine the number of sets or the size of the sets.
Divisor The number by which the dividend is to be divided; also a factor quotient.
Factor Whole numbers which can be divided exactly into a given number; factors are also numbers that are multiplied together to obtain a product.
Fraction A way of representing part of a whole set. See fractions page.
Halve Divide something by two, make half as large.
