Key Stage 2

Maths-Whizz for Key Stage 2 covers all National Numeracy Strategy objectives and Primary Framework Blocks for Years 3 through 6.

Maths-Whizz lessons for KS2 are a presented as a mix of both visual and text elements.

While narration is provided where needed, some lessons challenge the student to solve the problem without the aid of a voice-over.
Visuals in KS2 are more sophisticated and complex. Most emulate the type of imagery children see in books, films and on television. Some humour and physical comedy is introduced.
Exercises in this Key Stage are still easy to understand, but are more advanced than in KS1. Solving the exercises may involve a higher level of interaction with the subject matter. As well, the questions are somewhat longer and more complex than in the earlier stage.
On-screen help is still aimed at promoting success, but does so by encouraging the child to take a fresh look at the problem and reaching a successful conclusion.
