Leads the team at Whizz Education and, working with individual schools, ministries of education, donor organisations and commercial partners across the globe, supports our mission to raise standards in education through individualised learning. Richard also actively supports and drives product research and innovation, collaborating with academic and industry-led groups.
Jon co-founded Interactive Achievement, a successful EdTech company based in the US which developed the award-winning onTRAC platform for teachers and administrators to assess and improve student performance. Jon was a teacher and then Principal for 16 years in the public education system in the US, where he gained first-hand experience of the value of EdTech in a school environment.
Ray’s 30 year career in investment banking and venture capital saw him lead multinational teams in mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance transactions internationally. As a director of Hill Samuel, Apax, and Daiwa Europe, Ray has had wide experience of mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and IPOs, especially in the software, media and electronics sectors.

Trevor was formerly an Executive Director of Man Asia, part of Man Group plc. He brings wide international commercial experience as a Non-executive Director of a number of companies including Whizz Education.
Rosie is a Headmistress whose teaching career spans 15 years and encompasses the full range of age groups and educational sectors. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with First Class Honours in History and moved straight into the teaching profession, quickly developing an interest in values based educational models. In 2011 she was part of the founding team of a schools' group which now employs over 200 staff. Core values have remained central to the group's successful development, as well as a focus on the needs of pupils as individuals. Rosie is passionate about education and creating values based environments which enable young people to make the most of the opportunities available to them.
Sir Eric Peacock,
Sir Eric is a serial entrepreneur who took Babygro Plc to a full Stock Exchange Listing after an earlier career as Managing Director of other textile businesses. He was knighted in 2003 for services to international trade, and has sat on numerous Government boards, including currently that of UK Export Finance. He is Chairman of a number of high growth businesses with international dimensions in widely differing sectors, and has broad experience of start ups, turnarounds, internationalisation, financing, acquiring, disposal and flotation. Sir Eric is also Chairman of the charities AB Trust which operates in Uganda, Uniqueness helping school leavers to achieve their goals, Teens Unite supporting 16-25 year olds with terminal cancers and The Peacock Foundation which focusses on childrens’ creativity through art. He is a graduate of Queen’s University, Belfast.
Ron van der Meer,
Whizz Education was founded by Ron van der Meer, a pioneer of interactive pop-up books for children and adults.
Ron created more than 150 three-dimensional books, including numerous award winning international bestsellers.
His books on Mathematics, with Bob Gardner, The Maths Kit and the Maths Master series for 3 to 9 year olds, sold more than 1.2 million copies in over 15 countries.
This success inspired him to start Whizz Education. Ron is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Hague, Holland, and the Royal College of Art, London.
